Quack Goes to Boston

Joel went to Boston at the end of April for a conference. While Joel was packing to leave, Wally decided that Quack had to go with Daddy. "Mommy Quack" could sleep with me and "Way Way Tiny Quack" (aka Pumpkin Quack) could sleep with Wally while Daddy was gone. It looks like Quack and Joel both had a good time...at the hotel...
In Boston...
At a Red Sox game...Joel figured out that it would be cheaper to fly to Boston a day earlier than needed (which just happened to make it possible to catch a game at Fenway Park).
Looks like Quack had some lovely ballpark food...
While Joel was enjoying this view of Fenway, I was chasing Moose though Iowa City in a major downpour with the assistance of at least 3 Iowa City police cars. I informed him that this was the last time he could go to a conference early for a baseball game.

Big Poppy!
The conference was actually at Woods Hole on the end of the curly part of MA. Maybe Joel will someday add additional captions...
Joel is such a scientist (and a geeky one at that) even when touring... Wally and I like to sing "Hamma' Time!" and annoy Joel because we apparently aren't using the right little ditty to go with it. He still couldn't get away from our shinannigans on the other side of the country! Joel brought home a sea shell for Wally...
And a T-shirt...
All in all, it was a good conference for Joel. He made some new connections and hob-nobbed with other researchers in the field that he had met at an earlier conference. I think he is well on his way to becoming a PI!
