Gramma Kathy!

Gramma Kathy came to visit us earlier in May. She made a big loop, first travelling to Fargo to see Jenna and Molly. We were all super excited to have her! Wally was just beside himself. He had to show Gramma everything (including his Elmo costume from Halloween a few years back). Why is everything so much more fun with Gramma than with Mom and Dad?

For Mother's Day, I got a new vampire book and hedge trimmers. I let Joel try them out long enough to snap a picture. Maybe not a typical Mother's Day gift, but perfect for this mommy! Thanks Honey!

The weather was crumby (>2.5 inches of rain) while Kathy was here and I had a lot of editing to do, so we didn't do much outside of the house. On the last day of her visit, the sun actually came out, so Joel took off early and we went to the lake with the canoe.

Only 3 people are to be in the canoe at a time and we only have 3 lifevests, so I hung out on shore while the others went out and about.

We had a picnic and then played around for a while. The wind was blowing, so it was a little cool, but it was ok because the Mickey Mouse ears got to come out!

We finished the night off with ice cream. Our budding photographer just had to take this picture of the clouds before we could leave the ice cream store.
