Wally's Jobs

Wally loves being part of "Team Graff." He started with a few easy "jobs" after dinner...putting hot pads and dips away. Then he started taking all of his dishes to the counter and throwing away his napkins (yes, he still needs several napkins at each meal). Then he added putting the napkins on the table before we eat (though I have to often remind him to do it often). With the raining muddy weather and the dumb dog Moose who insists on being on beds when he comes in from weather like that, Wally got a "morning job" of making his bed, so at least Moose doesn't wallow on his sheets.

Anyway, to get to the pictures. Last week, Wally helped Joel take the trash out in the morning and then got to wait with him at the bus stop. When the bus came, Wally just ran home. This week, Wally was all about taking the trash out for me during the week, and come trash day, he was dressed and ready to go. He helped me get all the trash ready, then hauled the big trash can and the recycling bin to the street. Then off to the bus stop.
When Wally came home, he told me that that taking the trash out is his new job. I have been blessed in so many ways!

What Little We've Been Up To...

A couple weekends ago, I had to edit, so Joel took Wally and the dogs out to the farm SW of Iowa City for a hike. On the way, they saw a horse and buggy. How cool is that!?!? Wally had a great time in the snow.
Speed wasn't his thing though...

The dogs appeared to have a blast! Poor Moose always gets nipped by Daisy. Why does his little sister have to pick on him so?

It looks like Daisy was up for more, but Moose is an old dog.The joy of dogs!

Wally found a worm.
He loved the worm...He even learned with the worm...here he made the letter "A" out of the worm... I guess maybe when you start making letters out of worms, you are ready for kindergarten!
